Wow, I was nominated for the Unique Blogger Award by Chizurue! Thank you so much for nominating me, it means a lot, keep being awesome! Now then, on with the questions~!I’ll try my best to answer them to be the best of my ability. I wasn’t sure if I should only answer Chizurue’s questions or also all of the ones that she answered, so I decided to just try to answer all of them in her post, too.
Anime watching in the middle of night or during day?
I must confess, I am the inclination to be quite a night-owl so most of the anime I’ve seen in the past were in the middle of the night, if not early morning. Though, lately I’ve been trying to get better at tracking my sleep schedule and attempting to get up earlier. I often fail at it but I keep trying.
Would you rather eat your most hated food for a week and get the whole next week free from work/ school/ whatever, or would you work/ study/ whatever the whole week including weekends if you get to eat your favourite food all along?
I think I would rather eat my most hated food; Okra, all week. Though I’m not sure… I really don’t like the slimy texture, although I do love a lot of other vegetables.
Learn how to sword fight or horse ride (if you are guaranteed to be a pro if you begin)
I’d love to learn both, but I suppose learning to ride a horse properly seems a bit less terrifying to me so I’ll go with that. If I did know how to sword fight I would hope I would never have to use it in a serious situation.
Ahoge Girl’s Questions
The entire world is watching a battle to the death of some of anime’s biggest shounen protagonists: Luffy, Naruto, LeLouch and Edward Elric. You’ve bet your entire life savings on someone to win – but who?
Okay, so I have an idea of who all of the characters mentioned in this question are, but I haven’t seen or read the series they’re from (though they’re on my watch/reading list.)
If we’re talking about all of anime’s biggest shounen protagonists fighting, I would say Goku would be a pretty big contender, considering all of the fighting techniques he has and all of the experience in tournaments and the battlefield.
Though, to be totally not biased toward one of my favorite characters, I think Vash just might be able to beat Goku, although I can’t apprehend a reason why they would ever fight since they’re both pretty pacifistic. I would explain my reasoning further, but I won’t assume everyone has seen Trigun, and don’t want to spoil anything for anyone.
What food does everyone think is delicious, but you believe to be vile?
Okra, because of my dislike for this food, I’m assuming that I’m not going to be a fan of natto either.
What anime were you most excited to watch, only to be let down at how little you enjoyed it?
Sailor Moon Crystal… I still plan to finish watching it, but I was really disappointed with the animation quality and the decision to use CGI for the transformation sequences.
What’s that one song that you like, but you refuse to admit that you do like it to anyone?
I don’t have much problem admitting what I like to people that I’m close to, so of course I’ll divulge a few of the “cringey” songs that I actually enjoy, to you readers.
Yes, all of these songs are actually in my itunes, and I unapologetically enjoy all of them.
If you could pick your own first name, what would you choose to call yourself?
Well, my Mom once told me that she would have named me Erika instead of my actual name. I remember really preferring that name as a kid, and that definitely had nothing to do with one of my favorite Poke’mon gym leader’s having that name.
Okay, It definitely was because one of my favorite Poke’mon gym leader’s had that name.
Do you have a favourite quote?
I have several that I’ve chronicled in my journals over the years. Let’s see… I guess I’ll pick a few of my favorite anime quotes to share.
Animotivate’s blog is awesome by the way!
What is your favorite and least favorite food?
I’ve got two answers for my favorite food because it’s really hard for me to choose between sushi and pizza. There are so many different types of sushi that I like; salmon, squid, tuna are some of my favorites, but for the most part I’ll eat any traditional Japanese sushi and even some fusion types like California rolls. When it comes to pizza, there are a ton of toppings that I like; excluding pineapple because I’m allergic, my favorite combination of toppings are mushroom, pepperoni, bacon and Italian sausage.
As mentioned before my least favorite food is okra, and overly spicy foods, especially sauces that use copious amounts of vinegar to make them “spicy.”
What is your pet peeve?
A book related pet peeve of mine is when ebay sellers take photos of a rare item that their selling, and make the decision to sit it on their floor. I guess they don’t realize how many germs they’re getting on the item, and it’s even worse when the item they’re selling is rare or out-of-print. What puts a cherry on top of this pet peeve is when you message the seller and they claim that the item isn’t on the floor, when it’s clearly on the floor or on a super dusty table. Often when I see this, specifically with out-of-print manga like Red River or From Far Away for example, it makes me wonder if the person is really aware of how easily paper can be damaged. When I see these photos, I normally sigh and move on, but it still bothers me.
If you can bring any fictional character to this world, who would it be and what would be the first thing you will do?
It’d be cool to sit down for a cup of tea with Fr. Nightroad from Trinity Blood, I’m sure he’d be delighted that I remembered that he likes his tea with 13 teaspoons of sugar. We would chat about theology and other deep stuff.
1) What is the first thing you look for in a blog?
The first thing I look for in a blog is the quality of the writing, specifically if the writer writes with purpose and seems passionate about the subject they’re blogging about.
2) Which anime world or book-verse would you like to be part of?
It’d be pretty cool to be a senshi in sailor moon, though when it comes to currently airing anime I think I’d be cool to hang out with the Sanrio Boys and geek out about how much I love Sanrio characters.
3) If you should write a story, and you have to use yourself as one of the characters, what kind of character would you like it to be? (Like being a hero or villain? Or the nerd, rebel, girl/boy next door, or whatever type you can think of) Explain why.
I guess I would be the awkward and shy peasant girl that ends up being saved by the prince in a fairy tale. I guess I feel sort of like that’s how my life has been, the King sent me a prince; my husband. And we are still living our happily ever after.
What are some of the animated shows you’re nostalgic for?
Is there a topic you’ve been itching to blog about but haven’t gotten to yet?
Who is your favorite singer/band and why do you enjoy their music?
